Egypt: Fully escorted from arrival to Cairo. Guided visits to the "A" list of antiquity sites in Cairo, Aswan and Luxor, International buffet breakfast daily plus lunch and dinner buffets while on the cruise. (8 breakfasts, 4 lunches, 4 dinners) This is an upscale program featuring top 5* resort hotels and a deluxe 5* Nile cruise making this tour fun, relaxing and educational.
Highlights include visits in Cairo to the Giza plateau, featuring the Great Pyramid and Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum of antiquities where you will marvel at King Tut's treasures plus Sakkarra with the famous stepped pyramid and Dahshur with the first of the stone pyramids. Old Cairo with it's famous churches and synagogue and the Citadel of Salah el Din, bane of the crusaders. In Luxor you will see Karnak and Luxor temples on the East bank of the Nile. Visiting the Necropolis of Thebes on the Western bank of the Nile you will visit the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut's temple, the Colossi of Memnon and more. In Aswan the high dam, the temple of Philae, the Pharaohs granite quarries, the Nubian Museum and Elephantine Island are all included. All costs associated with these visits including transportation, entry fees, guide, service charges and taxes are already included in the tour price. Optional (extra charge) excursions to Dendarah temple in Luxor, entry to King Tut's tomb, A visit to Abu Simbel to see the famous temples of Ramses is an option. Your hotels are top five star resorts and you will enjoy the comfort of superior or deluxe rooms. On the cruise your cabin will be located on the upper decks where you will have panoramic views of the Nile. Included meals are giant international buffets with breakfast daily plus lunch and dinner while on the cruise.
01: (Monday) ARRIVE DUBAI
Arriving Dubai staff transfers you to your hotel, the Kempinski Palm Jumeirah, the Oberoi, JW Marriott Marquis or similar. Overnight Dubai.
Day 02: (Tuesday) DUBAI TOUR
Enjoy the day touring of one of the most diverse cities in the world. Visit both sides of Dubai Creek, where you will see the blend of old world and new. Visit Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and enjoy a wonderful once in a lifetime photo opportunity of the panoramic view of the city, ocean and desert. You will marvel at the Palm Hotel before visiting their aquarium. Visit Al Fahidi Fort, home of the Dubai Museum. Plus along the way a visit to the bustling alleys of traditional spice and gold souks. Overnight Dubai (Buffet Breakfast)
03: (Wednesday) SHARJAH, 4 X 4 SAFARI, FOLKLORIC SHOW
A tour of Sharjah, the Culture Capital of the UAE. Highlights include the Sharjah Fort, (built in 1820) and the Heritage Museum. Then in the afternoon it's off to the desert for a 4 X 4 Safari and Folkloric show. Overnight Dubai (Buffet Breakfast, Dinner)
04: (Thursday) ABU DHABI, HERITAGE VILLAGE, FERRARI THEME PARK
Tour of the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi. Along the way you will see Jebel Ali port, the largest man made port in the world. Visit the Grand Mosque and drive along the sea shore to the breakwater where you will have an opportunity to photograph the skyline. Visit the Heritage Village where you will see the "old ways" (pre-oil) including a campfire with coffee pots, a goats' hair tent, a falaj irrigation system and more. On your way back to Dubai, enjoy a drive through Yas Island, where the Warner Brothers and Ferrari theme parks are located. Overnight Dubai (Buffet Breakfast)
05: (Friday) FLY TO CAIRO
Staff transfers you to the airport for your international departure to Cairo. Arrive Cairo, clear immigration and customs then staff will transfer you to the Mena House hotel where you will enjoy the comfort of a pyramid view garden room. Overnight Cairo (Buffet Breakfast)
VISAS: All travelers to Egypt are required to obtain a visa for entry. Citizens of certain countries can currently obtain one on arrival however this is subject to change without notice.
06: (Saturday) SAQQARA, DAHSHUR AND MEMPHIS
Visit Saqqara with the Stepped Pyramid (including entry to the elaborate tombs of Mereruka, vizier to king Teti and the recently opened tomb of Maia (King Tut's wet nurse and maybe half sister). Dahshur, with it's famous Bent and Red Pyramids plus the new Imhotep museum and the ruins of Memphis, the ancient capital. Overnight Cairo (Buffet Breakfast)

07: (Sunday) GIZA PYRAMIDS, SOLAR BOAT, EGYPTIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM, FLY TO LUXOR
Enjoy an international buffet breakfast and check out before starting the day at the Pyramids at Giza, home of the 7th wonder of the world, the Great Pyramid and the inscrutable Sphinx. Visit the Solar Boat museum. Spend the afternoon marveling at King Tut’s treasures at the National Museum with entry to the famous Royal Mummies room before staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Luxor. Arriving staff transfers you to the Sonesta Luxor or the Maritim Kings Island Resort where at either hotel you will have a Deluxe Nile view room. Overnight Luxor (Buffet Breakfast)
08: (Monday) CRUISE, TEMPLES OF KARNAK AND LUXOR
Staff will meet you for transfer to your Deluxe Five Star Nile Cruiser, the M/S Amarco I or the Premier cruiser, M/S Saint George*. Lunch on board then visit the East Bank of Luxor including the Temple of Luxor and Temple of Karnak. Dinner. Evening entertainment (please check with reception for the program schedule). 09: (Tuesday) NECROPOLIS OF THEBES, CRUISE TO EDFU
Visit the West Bank of Luxor including the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the ship for Lunch while cruising to Esna, cross the river lock, continue cruising to Edfu. Dinner. Evening entertainment (please check with reception for the program schedule). 10: (Wednesday) TEMPLE OF HORUS, TEMPLE OF TWO GODS, CRUISE TO ASWAN
Breakfast followed by a visit to the Temple of Horus in Edfu. After touring return to the ship for lunch while cruising to Kom Ombo. Upon arrival in Kom Ombo visit the Temple of Two Gods. Dinner while cruising to Aswan. Overnight Cruise / Aswan (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
11: (Thursday) HIGH DAM, TEMPLE OF PHILAE, UNFINISHED OBELISK, FELUCCA
Visit the Aswan High Dam, the Temple of Philae and the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk. Lunch on board then in the afternoon FREE BONUS: Sail on the Nile by Felucca (native sailboat). (Please note that these boats are solely wind powered, if there is no wind this will not operate). Dinner on board. Overnight Cruise / Aswan (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

12: (Friday) ELEPHANTINE ISLAND, NUBIAN MUSEUM, SPICE MARKET
Disembark the cruise, Staff transfers you to the Movenpick Elephantine Island Resort or the Aswan Nile Resort, where at either you will have a Deluxe Nile view room. Afternoon visit to the Nubian Museum, a world class presentation of Nubia's culture and history plus the famous Aswan spice market. Overnight Aswan (Buffet Breakfast)
13: (Saturday) FLY TO CAIRO
Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Cairo. Staff will transfer you to the Le Meridien Airport Hotel or Concorde El Salam hotel. At either you will have a Deluxe room. Overnight Cairo (Buffet Breakfast)
Optional visit to Old Cairo with its famous churches and synagogue or the Citadel of Salah el Din, bane of the crusaders and the Alabaster
Mosque ($65 per person). PLUS A FREE option: Time for some last minute shopping at the famous Khan
el Khalili bazaar where travelers have been finding bargains since the middle ages.
14: (Sunday) INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURE
Staff will transfer you to the airport, assist with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure. (Meals on the flight)

Baggage handling of no more than 1 piece of luggage per person however baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at all times during the tour. Hotels (based on double occupancy). No drinks are included in tour prices. Some hotels and cruises give one bottle of water free daily others do not. As a general guide you could expect to pay:
Bottled water at hotels or on the cruise: $1 to $3 for a small bottle, $2.50-$5 for a large bottle.
NOTE: This is filtered water. If you order perrier it will cost more.
