Day 01: (Saturday) ARRIVE CAIRO
Arrive Cairo, staff assists with clearing immigration and customs thentransfers you to the Cairo Marriott or the Kempinski Nile hotel.
At either hotel you will have a Deluxe Nile view room. Overnight Cairo

VISAS: All travelers to Egypt are required to obtain a visa for entry. Citizens of certain countries can currently obtain one on arrival however this is subject to change without notice.

Day 02: (Sunday) EGYPTIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM, FLY TO LUXOR
Spend the day touring the Egyptian National Museum featuring King Tut's treasures with entry to the Royal Mummy room. Afterwards staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Luxor. Arriving staff transfers you to the Sonesta Luxor Hotel or the Maritim Kings Island Resort. At either hotel you will have a Deluxe Nile view room. In the evening attend the Karnak Temple sound and light show. Overnight Luxor (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 03: (Monday) CRUISE, TEMPLE OF KARNAK, TEMPLE OF LUXOR
Staff will meet you at the hotel lobby for transfer to your Deluxe Five Star Nile Cruiser, the M/S Amarco I (or upgrade to the Premier cruiser, M/S Saint George*). Lunch on board then visit the East Bank of Luxor including the Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Karnak. Dinner followed by Evening entertainment (please check with reception for the program schedule). Overnight Cruise / Luxor (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

PRE Boarding Optional Tours: Necropolis of Thebes sites not included in cruise program: $95 per person based on a minimum of two persons (includes the Valley of the Queens, the tombs of the nobles and artisans, temple of Medinet Habu, Ramessium)
Luxor Museum: $41 per person (minimum of two)

Day 04: (Tuesday) NECROPOLIS OF THEBES, CRUISE TO EDFU
Tour Luxor's Necropolis of Thebes including the
Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. After the tour return to the ship for lunch while cruising to Esna. Cross the river lock and continue cruising to Edfu. Dinner. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Edfu (Buffet breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 05: (Wednesday) TEMPLE OF HORUS, TEMPLE OF TWO GODS, CRUISE TO ASWAN
Tour the Temple of Horus, the best preserved of all the Nile temples. Have lunch while cruising to Kom Ombo. Evening guided tour of the Temple of two gods. The building is unique because its double design means that there are courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two gods, Sobek and Haroeris. Dinner while cruising to Aswan. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Aswan (Buffet breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 06: (Thursday) HIGH DAM, TEMPLE OF PHILAE, UNFINISHED OBELISK
Tour the Aswan High Dam, the Temple of Philae and the Unfinished Obelisk at the Pharaohs granite quarries. Following the tours return to the ship for lunch. Afternoon free to enjoy Aswan. Farewell dinner. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Aswan (Buffet breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Optional tours:
Nubian Museum: $46 per person (minimum of two)
St. Simeons camel trek: $60 per person (minimum of two)
Optional excursion to Abu Simbel

Day 07: (Friday) FLY TO CAIRO, GIZA PYRAMIDS
Disembark the cruise. Staff will transfer you to the airport and assist with checking in for a flight to Cairo. Arriving, visit the Giza Plateau featuring the Great Pyramid and Sphinx. After the tour staff will transfer you to the Mena House hotel where you will enjoy a Pyramid view garden room. In the evening attend the Giza sound and light show. Overnight Cairo (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 08: (Saturday) SAQQARA, DAHSHUR, MEMPHIS
Tour Saqqara with the famous stepped pyramid (including entry to the elaborate tombs of Mereruka, vizier to king Teti and the recently opened tomb of Maia (King Tut's wet nurse and maybe half sister). Dahshur with the first of the stone pyramids (the Bent and the Red), Imhotep's museum (architect of the stone pyramids) and the ruins of the ancient capital of Memphis. Overnight Cairo (Buffet Breakfast)

ISRAEL

Day 09: (Sunday) FLY TO ISRAEL
Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with exit formalities and checking in for your flight to Tel Aviv. Arriving clear immigration and customs then meet our staff in the terminal. They will transfer you to Jerusalem and the American Colony hotel. Overnight Jerusalem (Buffet Breakfast)

VISAS: All travelers to Israel must have a visa. USA citizens can obtain one on arrival. Please let us know what passport you are traveling with and we will confirm whether you can get yours on arrival.

Day 10: (Monday) NEW CITY
Meet your guide in the hotel lobby at 8:30AM for a sightseeing tour of the new city. Drive to Mt. Scopus for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane and Church of the Agony. Continue on to the Israel Museum to visit the Shrine of the Book with the famous Dead Sea Scrolls and the beautifully renovated Model of Herodian Jerusalem, depicting the city at the time of the Second Temple. Continue to Yad VaShem, Israel's national memorial holocaust. Afternoon visit the Hadassah medical center's synagogue, with Marc Chagall stained glass windows. Return to hotel via Ein Kerem (the birthplace of John the Baptist). Overnight Jerusalem (Breakfast)

Day 11: (Tuesday) OLD CITY
Walk with your guide through one of the Gates to the walled Old City: the renewed Jewish Quarter; the Western Wall, the Temple Mount area; the colorful bazaars and the Via Dolorosa ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Drive to Mt. Zion and visit the tomb of King David, the Room of the Last Supper and Dormition Abbey. Afternoon continue to Bethlehem* to visit Rachel's Tomb and the Church of the Nativity. Return to Jerusalem for overnight. Overnight Jerusalem (Breakfast)

Day 12: (Wednesday) CAESAREA, NAZARETH, SEA OF GHALILEE
Drive with your guide north via the coast to the ancient port of King Herod at Caesarea. Continue to Nazareth to visit the holy sites then end the day on the shore of the Sea of Ghalilee at the Scot's hotel. Overnight Tiberias (Breakfast)

Day 13: (Thursday) TIBERIAS,  TEL AVIV
Guided tour of the sites around the Sea including the old city, Mount Berenice, the Mount of Beatitudes and the baptism site on the Jordan river. Return to Tel Aviv this evening and the comfort of the Rothschild Hotel. Overnight Tel Aviv (Breakfast)

Day 14: (Friday) INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURE
Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking for your international departure. (meals on the flight)

EGYPT TOUR INCLUDES: Domestic flights in Egypt in coach (economy) class. Flight from Cairo to Israel in economy class. All transfers by air-conditioned vehicle relating to the tour program starting with arrival to Cairo. Baggage handling of no more than 1 piece of luggage per person however baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at all time during the tour (baggage handling does NOT include tips for bellmen, porters, etc.). Hotels (based on double occupancy). 5 star Deluxe Nile cruise with outside Nile view cabin, private bath, individual climate control. Meals as outlined. Included meals are in the main dining room, no speciality restaurants or room service. Fees for visiting antiquity sites and museums. Services of an English speaking licensed Egyptologist. Service charges and taxes. NOTE: During any of our small group tours people may join or leave at various times, however at no time would any group be larger than 08 travelers. We can provide private tours with an additional supplement. The cost depends on the tour chosen.

Other nationalities should check with the nearest Egyptian consulate), phone calls, laundry, beverages of any nature at any time, any items not specifically covered in the included items.

Included meals are in the main dining room, no speciality restaurants or room service. Fees for visiting antiquity sites and museums. Services of an English speaking guide. Service charges and taxes. NOTE: During any of our small group tours people may join or leave at various times. We can provide private tours with an additional supplement.

NOT included are: INTERNATIONAL AIR, items of a personal nature such as tips, entry visa (available at the airport on entry for USA citizens. Other nationalities should check with the nearest Israel consulate or tourist board office, phone calls, laundry, beverages of any nature at any time, any items not specifically covered in the included items.

Laundry in Egypt

All hotels and the cruises have laundry/dry cleaning available.

Laundry in before 9AM is back at 6PM.
Laundry in after 9AM is back the following day.
Rush laundry is generally available at 50% more cost.
Dry cleaning is available with prices about the same as laundry.
Children's clothes are generally 50% of the adult cost.

Drinks with Meals

No drinks are included in tour prices. Some hotels and cruises give one bottle of water free daily others do not. As a general guide you could expect to pay:
Bottled water at hotels or on the cruise: $1 to $3 for a small bottle, $2.50-$5 for a large bottle.
NOTE: This is filtered water. If you order perrier it will cost more.
Coffee or Tea: 50 cents
Soft drinks (Coke, Pepsi, etc): $1 each
Alcoholic drinks:
Local beer: $3 per bottle
Imported beer: $5 to $8 per bottle
Wine: local $4 to $6 per glass. imported will be more $$.
Liquor: local $5 per cocktail + cost of mixer (soft drink, juice, etc), imported $8-$15 per cocktail + cost of mixer)
ICE: In the hotels and on the cruise the ice is prepared from filtered water.

Guaranteed Weekly Departures

EGYPT & ISRAEL TOUR COSTS:
May through September*: $3195 per person, double occupancy
Single supplement: +$750
NO triples allowed except sharing with children under 12
*September tours must end no later than September 30 to get the low season rate.

October through April (excluding holidays): $3395 per person, double occupancy
Single supplement: +$950
NO triples allowed except sharing with children under 12

Holiday (Christmas, New Year, Easter): $4075 per person, double occupancy
Single supplement: +$1100
NO triples allowed

*Upgrade to St. George Premier cruise +$275 per person in a double cabin or +$400 in a single cabin.

Children under 12 years sharing room with two adults: 75% of seasonal adult fare. (triples are allowed with children under 12).

Egypt Air

Tours must be booked at least 45 days prior to arrival.

Single Price is for Single occupancy hotel rooms and cruise cabins based on a minimum of two travelers. Single travelers (one person on the tour) would have additional cost.
