Our Egypt tours are fully escorted from your arrival to Cairo, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the experience carefree. You will be part of a small group for this visit to Egypt, not herded around, giving ample time to absorb and experience the history and culture of ancient Egypt.

Antiquity tour highlights include visits to the Giza plateau, featuring the Great Pyramid and Sphinx.
The Egyptian Museum of antiquities where you will marvel at King Tut's treasures.
Temples along the Nile from Aswan to Luxor
The Necropolis of Thebes featuring the Valley of the Kings
and the city Alexander the Great founded but Cleopatra made famous.
All costs associated with these excursions including transportation, entry fees, guide, service charges and taxes are already included in the tour price.
On your 5* Deluxe Nile cruise your cabin will be located on the upper decks where you will have panoramic views of the Nile.
Included meals are giant international buffets with breakfast daily plus lunch and dinner while on the cruise.

Day 01: (Monday) ARRIVE CAIRO
Arrive Cairo, clear immigration and customs then staff will transfer you to the Mena House hotel where you will have a pyramid view, garden room. Overnight Cairo

VISAS: All travelers to Egypt are required to obtain a visa for entry. Citizens of certain countries can currently obtain one on arrival however this is subject to change without notice.

Day 02: (Tuesday) SAQQARA, DAHSHUR, GIZA PYRAMIDS, SPHINX
Full day tour of the Pyramids at Giza, the Sphinx and the early pyramids at Sakkara and Dashur. Overnight Cairo (Buffet Breakfast)
OPTIONAL sound and light show at the pyramids: $40 per person (minimum of two travelers)

Day 03: (Wednesday) EGYPTIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM, FLY TO ASWAN
Tour the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities and marvel at King Tut's treasures. Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Aswan.  Arriving staff transfers you to the Helnan Aswan Nile Resort or the Movenpick Elephantine resort. At either hotel you will enjoy the comfort of a Nile view room with private balcony. Overnight Aswan (Buffet breakfast)
Optional Tour:
Sunrise camel ride at the Pyramids: Cost: $65 per person based on a minimum of 2 travelers.

Day 04: (Thursday) EXPLORE ASWAN, NUBIAN MUSEUM
Enjoy a free morning to explore Aswan or an optional tour to Abu Simbel to visit the famous temples of Ramses. Afternoon tour of the Nubian Museum, a world class presentation of Nubia's culture and history. Overnight Aswan (Buffet breakfast)
Optional Tours:
Excursion to Abu Simbel: $300 per person (includes transfers, flights in economy class on Egyptair, private guide, entry fees)
Camel trek to St. Simeon's Monastery ruins: $60 per person based on a minimum of two persons

Day 05: (Friday) CRUISE, HIGH DAM, TEMPLE OF PHILAE, UNFINISHED OBELISK
Tour the
High Dam, the Temple of Philae, the Pharaohs granite quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk then transfer to board your Deluxe Five Star Nile cruiser, the M/S Amarco I or take an optional upgrade to the Premier cruiser, M/S Saint George*. Lunch on board. Dinner followed by evening entertainment (please check with reception for the program schedule). Overnight Cruise / Aswan (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
NOTE: Due to river conditions and which boat chosen the day to day sailing routine may change however the cruise always starts on Friday in Aswan and ends on Monday in Luxor.

Day 06: (Saturday) TEMPLE OF TWO GODS, CRUISE TO EDFU
Early departure to Kom Ombo with breakfast served enroute. Arriving tour the Temple of two gods. The temple is unique because its double design means that there are courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two gods, Sobek and Haroeris. Return to the ship for lunch. Cruise to Edfu. Dinner followed by evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Edfu (Buffet breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 07: (Sunday) TEMPLE OF HORUS, CRUISE TO LUXOR, TEMPLE OF LUXOR
Visit the
Temple of Horus in Edfu, the best preserved of all the ancient Nile temples. Return to the ship and cruise to Luxor. Lunch on board. Afternoon visit to the Temple of Luxor. Dinner followed by evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Luxor (Buffet breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 08: (Monday) NECROPOLIS OF THEBES, TEMPLE OF KARNAK
Disembark, visit the West Bank of Luxor including the
Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the East bank and visit the Temple of Karnak. Staff transfers you to the Sonesta Luxor or the Maritim Kings Island Resort. At either you will have a Nile view room. Overnight Luxor (Buffet breakfast)
Optional: Sound and Light show at Karnak Temple: $40 per person based on a minimum of two persons

Day 09: (Tuesday) FLY TO CAIRO, TRAVEL TO ALEXANDRIA
Staff transfers you to the Luxor Airport and you fly to Cairo. Arriving continue by highway to Alexandria. Arriving enjoy a stay at the Hilton Corniche Hotel where you will have a Deluxe Sea view room. Overnight Alexandria (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 10: (Wednesday) ALEXANDRIA HISTORIC SITES
Tour Alexandria, including a visit to the Alexandria National Museum, a world class presentation of Alexandria's history from its founding through the Middle Ages and visit the Greco Roman sites including the catacombs, Pompey's pillar and the amphitheater. Overnight Alexandria (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 11: (Thursday) ALEXANDRIA HISTORIC SITES, TRAVEL TO CAIRO
In the morning continue your tour of Alexandria with a visit to the new library then return to Cairo to either the Concorde el Salam or the Le Meridien Airport hotel. Overnight Cairo (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 12: (Friday) INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURE
Staff will transfer you to the Cairo Airport, assist with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure.

TOURS INCLUDE: GUARANTEED TO OPERATE WITH NO MINIMUM AND A MAXIMUM OF 8 TRAVELERS. All transfers by air-conditioned vehicle relating to the tour program starting with arrival to Cairo. Domestic flights in Egypt in economy class. Baggage handling of no more than 1 piece of luggage per person however baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at all time during the tour. Hotels (based on double occupancy). 5 star Deluxe Nile cruise with upper decks cabin, private bath, individual climate control. Meals as noted. Included meals are in the main dining room, no speciality restaurants or room service. Fees for visiting antiquity sites and museums that are listed in the program. Services of an English speaking licensed Egyptologist. Service charges and taxes. NOTE: During any of our small group tours people may join or leave at various times, however at no time would any group be larger than 8 travelers. We can provide private tours with an additional supplement. The cost depends on the tour chosen.

NOT included are: INTERNATIONAL AIR, items of a personal nature such as tips (tipping guideline), entry visa, phone calls, laundry, beverages of any nature at any time, any items not specifically covered in the included items.

CHILDREN: Children between the ages of 6 and 11 pay 75% of the adult rate when sharing with two adults.
Children from 2 through 5 years pay 50% of the adult rate when sharing with two adults. Children under 2 are free.

Laundry in Egypt

All hotels and the cruises have laundry/dry cleaning available.

Laundry in before 9AM is back at 6PM.
Laundry in after 9AM is back the following day.
Rush laundry is generally available at 50% more cost.
Dry cleaning is available with prices about the same as laundry.
Children's clothes are generally 50% of the adult cost.

Beverages

No drinks are included in tour prices. Some hotels and cruises give one bottle of water free daily others do not. As a general guide you could expect to pay:
Bottled water at hotels or on the cruise: $1 to $3 for a small bottle, $2.50-$5 for a large bottle.
NOTE: This is filtered water. If you order perrier it will cost more.
Coffee or Tea: 50 cents
Soft drinks (Coke, Pepsi, etc): $1 each
Alcoholic drinks:
Local beer: $3 per bottle
Imported beer: $5 to $8 per bottle
Wine: local $4 to $6 per glass. imported will be more $$.
Liquor: local $5 per cocktail + cost of mixer (soft drink, juice, etc), imported $8-$15 per cocktail + cost of mixer)
ICE: In the hotels and on the cruise the ice is prepared from filtered water.
