Travel Egypt's Grand Egypt tour provides travelers with the opportunity to relax with an extended cruise of the Nile plus time to enjoy a visit to Alexandria, the city Alexander the Great built and Cleopatra made famous.

Travel Egypt's Grand Egypt tour includes Five star hotels highly rated by your fellow travelers with the comfort of superior or deluxe rooms plus your 5* Deluxe Nile cruise cabin will be located on the upper decks with panoramic views of the Nile.

Egypt tourism should be relaxing. Travel Egypt Egypt tours are fully escorted from your arrival to Cairo, thus allowing you the opportunity to learn, relax, enjoy and immerse yourself in over 5000 years of ancient Egypt's history. As part of a small group with never more than 8 travelers you will enjoy the personal attention that has made Travel Egypt famous.

Included are guided tours of the Giza plateau, featuring the Great Pyramid and Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum of antiquities where you will marvel at King Tut's treasures, temples along the Nile from Luxor to Aswan and the city Alexander the Great founded but Cleopatra made famous. All costs associated with these visits including transportation, entry fees, guide, service charges, taxes and port fees are included in the tour price.

Day 01: (Friday) ARRIVE CAIRO
Arrive Cairo, clear immigration and customs then staff will transfer you to the Mena House Hotel where you will have a pyramid view garden room. Overnight Cairo

VISAS: All travelers to Egypt are required to obtain a visa for entry. Citizens of certain countries can currently obtain one on arrival however this is subject to change without notice.

Day 02: (Saturday)  SAQQARA, DAHSHUR, MEMPHIS
Tour Sakkarra with the Stepped Pyramid, Dahshur with it's famous Bent and Red Pyramids plus the new Imhotep museum and Memphis (the ancient capital), Overnight Cairo (Buffet Breakfast)
Optional Tours:
Sunrise camel ride at the Pyramids: Cost: $65 per person (minimum of two)
Sound and Light show at the Giza Pyramids:  $40 per person (minimum of two)

Day 03: (Sunday) PYRAMIDS OF GIZA, SPHINX, FLY TO LUXOR
Start the day at the Pyramids at Giza, home of the 7th wonder of the world, the Great Pyramid and the inscrutable Sphinx. Afterwards staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Luxor. Arriving staff transfers you to the Sonesta Luxor Hotel or the Maritim Kings Island Resort. At either hotel you will enjoy a Deluxe Nile view room. Overnight Luxor (Buffet Breakfast)
Optional: Sound and Light show at Karnak Temple $40 per person (minimum of two)

Day 04: (Monday) BOARD CRUISE, FREE AFTERNOON
Staff transfers you to board your Deluxe Five Star Nile Cruiser, the M/S Amarco I or with an optional upgrade, the Premier cruiser, M/S Saint George*. Lunch. Afternoon free to enjoy Luxor. Dinner. Evening entertainment (please check with reception for the program schedule) Overnight Cruise / Luxor (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Optional Excursions: Temple of Hathor at Dendarah: $70 per person (minimum of two)

Day 05: (Tuesday) TEMPLES OF KARNAK AND LUXOR, CRUISE TO EDFU
Tour the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Sail to Esna while having Lunch. Dinner followed by evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Esna. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 06: (Wednesday) TEMPLE OF HORUS, CRUISE TO ASWAN
Cross the river locks at Esna and cruise to Edfu. Arriving visit the
Horus Temple, the best preserved of all the Nile temples. Dinner while cruising to Kom Ombo. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Kom Ombo (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 07: (Thursday) HIGH DAM, TEMPLE OF PHILAE, UNFINISHED OBELISK
Early morning cruise to Aswan. Arriving visit the
High Dam, the Temple of Philae and the Pharaoh's granite quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk. Lunch. Free time to enjoy Aswan. Dinner. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Aswan. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Optional Tour:
Nubian Museum $46 per person (minimum of two)

Day 08: (Friday) EXPLORE ASWAN, FELUCCA
Free morning to enjoy Aswan or perhaps an optional excursion to Abu Simbel to see the famous temples of Ramses. Lunch. FREE BONUS: Sail on the Nile by Felucca (native sailboat). (Please note that these boats are solely wind powered, if there is no wind this will not operate). Dinner. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Aswan. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Optional Tours:
Optional excursion to Abu Simbel
St. Simeon's Monastery ruins camel trek $60 per person (minimum of two)

Day 09: (Saturday) TEMPLE OF TWO GODS, CRUISE TO LUXOR
Early morning cruise to Kom Ombo. Visit the Temple shared by two gods. The building is unique because its double design means that there are courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two gods, Sobek and Haroeris. Lunch while sailing to Edfu. Continue to Esna, cross the river lock and sail to Luxor. Dinner. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Luxor (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 10: (Sunday) NECROPOLIS OF THEBES, FREE AFTERNOON
Tour the Necropolis of Thebes including the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
, and the Colossi Memnon. Return to the ship for lunch. Afternoon free to enjoy Luxor. Dinner. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Luxor (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Optional Tour:
Tour of Necropolis sites not included in cruise: $95 per person (includes the

Day 11: (Monday) FLY TO CAIRO, TRAVEL TO ALEXANDRIA
Disembark, staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Cairo. Arriving transfer by highway to Alexandria, the city Alexander the Great built and Cleopatra made famous. Enjoy the comfort of the Hilton Alexandria Corniche Hotel, right on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea where you will have a deluxe sea view room. Overnight Alexandria (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 12: (Tuesday) ALEXANDRIA ANTIQUITY SITES
A full day touring the wonders of Alexandria including the catacombs, the museums, the Greco-roman sites and the new library. Overnight Alexandria (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 13: (Wednesday) TRAVEL TO CAIRO, EGYPTIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM
Return to Cairo. Arriving tour the Egyptian National Museum featuring King Tut’s treasures. Enjoy the comfort of the Cairo Marriott or the Hilton Zamalek where you will have a Deluxe Nile view room. Overnight Cairo (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 14: (Thursday) OLD CAIRO, CITADEL, KHAN EL KHALILI BAZAAR
Enjoy a tour of Old Cairo with it's famous churches and synagogue. Visit the Citadel of Salah el Din, bane of the crusaders and the Alabaster Mosque then end the day with a visit to the Khan el Khalili bazaar where travelers have been finding bargains since the middle ages. Overnight Cairo (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 15: (Friday) INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURE
Staff will transfer you to the airport, assist with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure. (meals on the flight)

TOURS INCLUDE: OPERATES WITH NO MINIMUM AND A MAXIMUM OF 8 TRAVELERS. Domestic flights in Egypt in coach (economy) class. All transfers by air-conditioned vehicle relating to the tour program starting with arrival to Cairo. Baggage handling of no more than 1 piece of luggage per person however baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at all time during the tour (baggage handling does NOT include tips for bellmen, porters, etc.). Hotels (based on double occupancy). 5 star Deluxe Nile cruise with outside Nile view cabin, private bath, individual climate control. Meals as noted. Included meals are in the main dining room, no speciality restaurants or room service. Fees for visiting antiquity sites and museums included in the tour program. Services of an English speaking licensed Egyptologist. Service charges and taxes. NOTE: During any of our small group tours people may join or leave at various times, however at no time would any group be larger than 8 travelers. We can provide private tours with an additional supplement. The cost depends on the tour chosen.

NOT included are: INTERNATIONAL AIR, items of a personal nature such as tips (tipping guideline), entry visa, phone calls, laundry, beverages of any nature at any time, any items not specifically covered in the included items.

All hotels and the cruises have laundry/dry cleaning available.

Laundry in before 9AM is back at 6PM.
Laundry in after 9AM is back the following day.
Rush laundry is generally available at 50% more cost.
Dry cleaning is available with prices about the same as laundry.
Children's clothes are generally 50% of the adult cost.

Beverages

No drinks are included in tour prices. Some hotels and cruises give one bottle of water free daily others do not. As a general guide you could expect to pay:
Bottled water at hotels or on the cruise: $1 to $3 for a small bottle, $2.50-$5 for a large bottle.
NOTE: This is filtered water. If you order perrier it will cost more.
Coffee or Tea: 50 cents
Soft drinks (Coke, Pepsi, etc): $1 each
Alcoholic drinks:
Local beer: $3 per bottle
Imported beer: $5 to $8 per bottle
Wine: local $4 to $6 per glass. imported will be more $$.
Liquor: local $5 per cocktail + cost of mixer (soft drink, juice, etc), imported $8-$15 per cocktail + cost of mixer)
ICE: In the hotels and on the cruise the ice is prepared from filtered water.

Single Price is for Single occupancy hotel rooms and cruise cabins based on a minimum of two travelers. Single travelers (one person on the tour) would have additional cost.
