Mövenpick Resort Aqaba

Majestically located in the centre of Aqaba, overlooking the Red Sea and with direct access to its own private beach, the 5-star resort is an architectural gem. 235 air-conditioned rooms and suites featuring private facilities,multi-channel satellite TV, inhouse movies, telephone, safe, mini bar and hairdryer. Standard rooms offer a mountain view, with sea views available at a supplement. Junior suites offer a mountain view, while executive suites have a sea view.

All rooms have a balcony or terrace with a table & chairs and afford a view of either the gardens or beach. All standard rooms are elegantly furnished and offer views of the mountains and Aqaba City. Palm Court and Terrace The Palm Court and Terrace is the hotel's all day dining option. Featuring a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner there is also an a la carte option for lunch and dinner. Red Sea Grill Situated above Al Shat with commanding views over the beach and the Red Sea this is one of the hotels fine dining options. Its open aspect on a terrace decorated in different woods, with a variety of table types gives it an Afro/Arabic theme. In the Summer a fine water spray is used to cool guests. Theme nights are a regular feature of the Red Sea Grill.		Abu Nawwas Pub Aqaba nights come alive at the modern style Abu Nawwas Pub. The place to see and be seen with daily live entertainment and an endless choice of enticing refreshments.The outdoor terrace offers Sheesha under the Stars with a variety of fruity water pipe tobaccos available.
Al Nafoura Bar Just off the lobby the Al Nafoura is a sophisticated lounge bar with a relaxing atmosphere. It has a large dark wood arch over the bar which makes it a center of attention. Seating is mainly low comfortable leather armchairs and sofas with tables and brass lamps - the subdued lighting at night adds to the elegant atmosphere. The bar's speciality is martini cocktails. There is a pianist who plays 6 nights a week.		Al Shatt Beach Restaurant and Terrace The restaurant is situated in a lovely position overlooking the Summer Pool on one side and the beach the other. Al Shat's pillars are decorated in tiles in primary colours and combined with the dark wood and tiled floors creates a rustic feel. With a large snack menu, ice creams and full range of drinks it is ideal for pool and beach lovers. Look out for the 'Cocktail of the Day'.
Al Sufra Mediterranean Fine Dining The Al Sufra offers an a la carte menu of Mediterranean cuisine, from classic Italian to exotic Arabic dishes. With a partially vaulted ceiling and exquisite mosaics on the walls, comfortable bench seats and leather chairs, this restaurant is another fine dining options at the hotel. Regular theme nights and entertainment will be a feature of Al Sufra.		The Bridge Cafe and Terrace Drinks, snacks and shisha accompanied by our oud player all served in the resorts newest open air outlet, overlooking the magnificent gardens, the Red Sea, and the historical site of Ayla.

Features and Activities

A wide variety of activities are offered to adults and children alike.

The Dana Club team organizes activities for the younger ones, with the convenience of its own swimming pool.

The resort also features a health club with gym and aerobics, sauna, whirlpool, Jacuzzis, private beach and four pools.

Massage, scuba diving, sunset cruises, and many other activities are also available.

Desert treks to Wadi Rum, a visit to Petra and the Dead Sea can be arranged upon request.

Winter Pool Located in the lower grounds near the Residence the Heated Pool is surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens with a small stream meandering into it. It has the added benefit of a garden jacuzzi sheltered by a large gazebo. The pool itself is of an irregular shape and is entered into down some gently graded steps.		Summer Pool Lower down the garden a stream filters into the Summer Pool which is oval shaped and its depths vary from 1.1m to 2.1m. Although the water is of a lower temperature this is a lively pool area. The Summer Pool has the added advantage of the terrace of the Al Shatt Restaurant being adjacent to it.
Lap Pool The Lap Pool, also known as the Bridge Pool, is in an unusual setting on the Resort Bridge where it benefits from the adjacent Bridge Bar. This pool is for serious swimmers and also has a terrace lounge area for lapping up the sun.		Garden Jacuzzi The garden jacuzzi, located at the end of the Winter Pool, is sheltered by a large gazebo and towels are conveniently dispensed from a nearby turreted building.
Private Beach Our large private sandy beach is the ideal place to soak up the sun and enjoy a well deserved holiday. Umbrellas, beach chairs, mattresses, and beach towels are free of charge.		Water Sports Waterskiing, Jetski, windsurfing, banana boat rides and sunset cruises; a variety of water activities are available through Sindbad, our watersports partner.
Diving Guests staying at the Movenpick Aqaba can dive with our chosen dive centre partner in Aqaba, Seastar, Jordan's first PADI 5 star IDC facility. The centre offers a range of facilities for both divers and non dives alike.		Souk Zara Located on the bridge, the Souk Zara provides all the necessary items one might need for a beach holiday in Aqaba. In addition to the wide range of sunbathing products, beach toys and wear, Souk Zara promotes Jordanian Arts & Crafts through a limitless selection of gifts and ideas.
Health Club Gym Located at the end of the Resort Bridge it is a well equipped gym in a quiet area of the hotel. All facilities are complimentary for hotel guests, and staff are available to help guests familiarize themselves with the equipment. There is no changing area at the gym but the sauna just below has a men's and women's changing room.		Health Club Spa Located under the Gym, the Sauna and indoor Jacuzzi form a healthy treat for the weary traveler. Facilities are separate for men and women and feature changing rooms and showers as well.
