Travel Egypt tours provide the opportunity to immerse yourself in ancient Egypt with guides who have the ability to bring to life over 5000 years of history. Nile Treasures is an upscale tour featuring 5* hotels and a deluxe 5* Nile cruise making this Egypt tour enjoyable, entertaining and enlightening. Tours to Egypt should be relaxing and our Egypt tours are fully escorted from your arrival to Cairo. You will be part of a small group for this visit to Egypt, not herded around, thus allowing the time to absorb and experience the history and culture of one of the world's great treasures.

Antiquity sites you will tour include the Giza plateau, featuring the Great Pyramid and Sphinx. The Egyptian Museum of antiquities where you will marvel at King Tut's treasures. Temples along the Nile from Aswan to Luxor, the Valley of the Kings and more are all part of your tour of Egypt. All costs associated with these visits including transportation, entry fees, guide, service charges and taxes are already included in the tour price.

Your hotels are first class and you will enjoy the comfort of superior or deluxe rooms. On the cruise your cabin will be located on the upper decks where you will have panoramic views of the Nile. Included meals are giant international buffet breakfasts daily plus lunch and dinner while on the cruise.

Day 01: (Saturday) ARRIVAL TO CAIRO
Arriving Cairo staff assists with clearing immigration and customs then transfers you to the Cairo Marriott or the Kempinski Nile hotel.
At either hotel you will have a Deluxe Nile view room. Overnight Cairo

VISAS: All travelers to Egypt are required to obtain a visa for entry. Citizens of certain countries can currently obtain one on arrival however this is subject to change without notice. The best thing is to obtain your visa in advance. In most countries these can be obtained from an Egyptian consulate.

Spend the day on a guided tour of the Egyptian National Museum featuring King Tut's treasures. Afterwards staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Luxor. Arriving staff transfers you to the Sonesta Luxor Hotel or the Maritim Kings Island Resort where you will have a Nile view room. Overnight Luxor (Buffet breakfast)
Optional: Sound and Light show at Karnak Temple $40 per person (minimum of two)

Staff will meet you at the hotel lobby for transfer to your Deluxe Five Star Nile Cruiser, the M/S Amarco I (or upgrade to the Premier cruiser, M/S Saint George*). Lunch on board then visit the East Bank of Luxor including the Temple of Luxor and Temple of Karnak. Dinner followed by Evening entertainment (please check with reception for the program schedule). Enjoy a tour of Luxor's Necropolis of Thebes including the
Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. After the tour return to the ship for lunch while cruising to Esna. Cross the river lock and continue cruising to Edfu. Dinner. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Edfu (Buffet breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Tour the
Temple of Horus, the best preserved of all the Nile temples. Have lunch while cruising to Kom Ombo. Evening guided tour of the Temple of two gods. The building is unique because its double design means that there are courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two gods, Sobek and Haroeris. Dinner while cruising to Aswan. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Aswan (Buffet breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Tour the Aswan
High Dam, the Temple of Philae and the Unfinished Obelisk at the Pharaohs granite quarries. Following the tours return to the ship for lunch. Afternoon free to enjoy Aswan. FREE bonus: Sunset sail in a Felucca (native sailboat). Farewell dinner. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Aswan (Buffet breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Optional tours:
Nubian Museum: $46 per person (minimum of two)
St. Simeons camel trek: Travel by Felucca to the West bank of the Nile to board your ship of the desert (camel) for a short ride to St. Simeon's Monastery ruins. $60 per person (minimum of two)
Optional excursion to Abu Simbel

Disembark the cruise. Staff will transfer you to the airport and assist with checking in for a flight to Cairo. Arriving, visit the Giza Plateau featuring the Great Pyramid and Sphinx. After the tour staff will transfer you to the Mena House Hotel where you will enjoy a Pyramid view garden room. Overnight Cairo (Buffet breakfast)
Optional: Sound and Light show at the Giza Pyramids: $40 per person (minimum of two)

Staff will transfer you to the airport, assist with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure. (Meals on the flight)

TOURS INCLUDE: OPERATES WITH NO MINIMUM AND A MAXIMUM OF 8 TRAVELERS. Transfers by air-conditioned vehicle relating to the tour program starting with arrival to Cairo. Baggage handling of no more than 1 piece of luggage per person however baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at all time during the tour (baggage handling does NOT include tips for bellmen, porters, etc.). Hotels (based on double occupancy). 5 star Deluxe Nile cruise with upper decks Nile view cabin, private bath, individual climate control. Meals as noted. Included meals are in the main dining room, no speciality restaurants or room service. Fees for visiting antiquity sites and museums that are part of the tour program. Services of an English speaking licensed Egyptologist. Service charges and taxes.

NOTE: During any of our small group tours people may join or leave at various times, however at no time would any group be larger than 8 travelers. We can provide private tours with an additional supplement. The cost depends on the tour chosen.

NOT included are: AIR, air ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, items of a personal nature such as tips (tipping guideline), entry visa, phone calls, laundry, beverages of any nature at any time, any items not specifically covered in the included items.

Laundry in Egypt

All hotels and the cruises have laundry/dry cleaning available.

Children's clothes are generally 50% of the adult cost.


No drinks are included in tour prices. Some hotels and cruises give one bottle of water free daily others do not. As a general guide you could expect to pay:
Bottled water at hotels or on the cruise: $1 to $3 for a small bottle, $2.50-$5 for a large bottle.
NOTE: This is filtered water. If you order perrier it will cost more.
Coffee or Tea: 50 cents
Soft drinks (Coke, Pepsi, etc): $1 each
Alcoholic drinks:
Local beer: $3 per bottle
Imported beer: $5 to $8 per bottle
Wine: local $4 to $6 per glass. imported will be more $$.
Liquor: local $5 per cocktail + cost of mixer (soft drink, juice, etc), imported $8-$15 per cocktail + cost of mixer)
ICE: In the hotels and on the cruise the ice is prepared from filtered water.

Single Price is for Single occupancy hotel rooms and cruise cabins based on a minimum of two travelers. Single travelers (one person on the tour) would have additional cost.
