The Pharaohs Nile Egypt tour is an upscale program featuring highly rated 5* hotels and a deluxe 5* Nile cruise making this Egypt tour fun, relaxing and educational. Tours of Egypt should be relaxing and our Egypt tours are fully escorted from your arrival to Cairo. You can relax knowing the details are taken care of, allowing you to enjoy the experience carefree. As part of a small group for this visit to Egypt, you will not be herded around, thus allowing the time to absorb and experience the history of the Pharaohs Nile.

Highlights include tours in Cairo to the Giza plateau, featuring the Great Pyramid and Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum of antiquities where you will marvel at King Tut's treasures plus Sakkarra with the famous stepped pyramid and Dahshur with the first of the stone pyramids. Old Cairo with it's famous churches and synagogue and the Citadel of Salah el Din, bane of the crusaders. In Luxor you will see Karnak and Luxor temples on the East bank of the Nile. Visiting the Necropolis of Thebes on the Western bank of the Nile you will visit the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut's temple, the Colossi of Memnon and more. While on the cruise you will enjoy stops at the Temple of Horus in Edfu and at Kom Ombo tour the Temple of Two Gods. In Aswan tours of the high dam, the temple of Philae, the Pharaohs granite quarries with the unfinished Obelisk, the Nubian Museum and Elephantine Island are all included. All costs associated with these visits including transportation, entry fees, guide, service charges and taxes are already included in the tour price.

Your 5* hotels are highly rated by your fellow travelers and you will enjoy the comfort of superior or deluxe rooms. On the cruise your cabin will be located on the upper decks where you will have panoramic views of the Nile. Included meals are giant international buffets with breakfast daily plus lunch and dinner while on the cruise.

Day 01: (Saturday) ARRIVE CAIRO
Arriving Cairo staff assists with clearing immigration and customs then transfers you to the Cairo Marriott or the Hilton Zamalek. Overnight Cairo

VISAS: All travelers to Egypt are required to obtain a visa for entry. Citizens of certain countries can currently obtain one on arrival however this is subject to change without notice. The best thing is to obtain your visa in advance. In most countries these can be obtained from an Egyptian consulate.

Day 02: (Sunday) EGYPTIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM, FLY TO LUXOR
Spend the day on a guided tour of the Egyptian National Museum featuring King Tut's treasures. Afterwards staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Luxor. Arriving staff transfers you to the Sonesta Luxor Hotel or the Maritim Kings Island Resort where you will have a Nile view room. Overnight Luxor (Buffet breakfast)
Optional Tour:
Sound and Light show at Karnak Temple $40 per person based on a minimum of two persons

Day 03: (Monday) CRUISE, TEMPLE OF KARNAK, TEMPLE OF LUXOR
Staff will meet you in the hotel lobby for transfer to your Deluxe Five Star Nile Cruiser, the M/S Amarco I (or upgrade to the Premier cruiser, M/S Saint George*). Lunch on board then visit the East bank of Luxor including the Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Karnak. Dinner followed by evening entertainment (please check with reception for the program schedule). Overnight Cruise / Luxor (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

PRE Boarding Optional Tours:
Necropolis of Thebes sites not included in cruise program: $95 per person based on a minimum of two persons. (includes the Valley of the Queens, the tombs of the nobles and artisans, Medinet Habu, Ramessium)

Day 04: (Tuesday) NECROPOLIS OF THEBES, CRUISE TO EDFU
Enjoy a tour of Luxor's Necropolis of Thebes including the
Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. After the tour return to the ship for lunch while sailing to Esna. Cross the river lock and continue sailing to Edfu. Dinner. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Edfu (Buffet breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 05: (Wednesday) TEMPLE OF HORUS, TEMPLE OF TWO GODS, CRUISE TO ASWAN
Tour the
Temple of Horus, the best preserved of all the Nile temples. Have lunch while sailing to Kom Ombo. Evening guided tour of the Temple of two gods. The temple is unique because its double design means that there are courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two gods, Sobek and Haroeris. Dinner while sailing to Aswan. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Aswan (Buffet breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 06: (Thursday) HIGH DAM, TEMPLE OF PHILAE, UNFINISHED OBELISK
Tour the Aswan
High Dam, the Temple of Philae and the Unfinished Obelisk at the Pharaohs granite quarries. Following the tours return to the ship for lunch. Afternoon free to enjoy Aswan. Farewell dinner. Evening entertainment. Overnight Cruise / Aswan (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Optional Tour:
St. Simeons camel trek: $60 per person based on a minimum of two persons

Day 07: (Friday) NUBIAN MUSEUM, ASWAN SPICE MARKET
Disembark the cruise after your buffet breakfast. Enjoy a tour of the Nubian Museum, a world class presentation of Nubia's history and culture plus the famous Aswan spice market. After the tour transfer to the Movenpick Elephantine Island Resort or the Aswan Nile Resort. At either you will have a Deluxe Nile view room with private balcony. Overnight Aswan (Buffet Breakfast)
Optional Tour:
Abu Simbel $300 per person including transfers, flights in economy class, private guide, entry fees, service charges and taxes

Day 08: (Saturday) FLY TO CAIRO, GIZA PYRAMIDS, SPHINX
Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Cairo. Arriving enjoy a tour of the Giza Plateau featuring the Great Pyramid and Sphinx. After the tour staff transfers you to the Mena House Hotel where you will have a pyramid view garden room. Overnight Cairo (Buffet Breakfast)
Optional Tour:
Sound and light show at the pyramids: $40 per person based on a minimum of two persons

Day 09: (Sunday) SAQQARA, DAHSHUR, MEMPHIS
Buffet breakfast then a visit to
Sakkarra with the Stepped Pyramid, Dahshur, with the first of the stone pyramids, (the Bent and the Red) plus the new Imhotep museum and the ruins of Memphis, (the ancient capital). Overnight Cairo (Buffet Breakfast)
Optional Tour:
Sunrise camel ride at the Pyramids: Cost: $65 per person based on a minimum of two persons.

Day 10: (Monday) OLD CAIRO, CITADEL, KHAN EL KHALILI BAZAAR
Enjoy a tour of Old Cairo with it's famous churches and synagogue plus the Citadel of Salah el Din, bane of the crusaders and the Alabaster Mosque. Visit the
Khan el Khalili bazaar where travelers have been finding bargains since the middle ages. Overnight Cairo (Buffet breakfast)

Day 11: (Tuesday) INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURE
Staff will transfer you to the airport, assist with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure. (meals on the flight)

TOURS INCLUDE: OPERATES WITH NO MINIMUM AND A MAXIMUM OF 8 TRAVELERS. Domestic flights in Egypt in coach (economy) class. All transfers by air-conditioned vehicle relating to the tour program starting with arrival to Cairo. Baggage handling of no more than 1 piece of luggage per person however baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at all time during the tour (baggage handling does NOT include tips for bellmen, porters, etc.). Hotels (based on double occupancy). 5 star Deluxe Nile cruise with outside Nile view cabin, private bath, individual climate control. Meals as noted. Included meals are in the main dining room, no speciality restaurants or room service. Fees for visiting antiquity sites and museums. Services of an English speaking licensed Egyptologist. Service charges and taxes.
NOTE: During any of our small group tours people may join or leave at various times, however at no time would any group be larger than 8 travelers. We can provide private tours with an additional supplement. The cost depends on the tour chosen.

NOT included are: INTERNATIONAL AIR, Air ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, items of a personal nature such as tips (tipping guideline), entry visa, phone calls, laundry, beverages of any nature at any time, any items not specifically covered in the included items.

All hotels and the cruises have laundry/dry cleaning available.

Laundry in after 9AM is back the following day.
Rush laundry is generally available at 50% more cost.
Dry cleaning is available with prices about the same as laundry.
Children's clothes are generally 50% of the adult cost.

Beverages

No drinks are included in tour prices. Some hotels and cruises give one bottle of water free daily others do not. As a general guide you could expect to pay:
Bottled water at hotels or on the cruise: $1 to $3 for a small bottle, $2.50-$5 for a large bottle.
NOTE: This is filtered water. If you order perrier it will cost more.
Coffee or Tea: 50 cents
Soft drinks (Coke, Pepsi, etc): $1 each
Alcoholic drinks:
Local beer: $3 per bottle
Imported beer: $5 to $8 per bottle
Wine: local $4 to $6 per glass. imported will be more $$.
Liquor: local $5 per cocktail + cost of mixer (soft drink, juice, etc), imported $8-$15 per cocktail + cost of mixer)
ICE: In the hotels and on the cruise the ice is prepared from filtered water.

Single Price is for Single occupancy hotel rooms and cruise cabins based on a minimum of two travelers. Single travelers (one person on the tour) would have additional cost.
