Arriving Cairo staff assists with obtaining your visa, clearing immigration and customs then transfers you to the Mena House hotel where you will have a pyramid view room. Overnight Cairo
Day 02: (Sunday) GIZA PYRAMIDS AND SPHINX, FLY TO LUXOR, WINTER PALACE
Meet your guide in the hotel lobby for a tour of the Giza Plateau featuring the Great Pyramid and Sphinx. After the tour staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Luxor. Arriving staff transfers you to the famous Winter Palace where you will have a Luxury Nile view room. Day 03: (Monday) CRUISE EMBARKATION, TEMPLES OF KARNAK AND LUXOR

Day 04: (Tuesday) NECROPOLIS, CRUISE TO EDFU
Early morning departure for the West side of the Nile to tour the Valley of the Kings including entry to King Tut's tomb, Valley of the Queens, Queen Hatshepsut's temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the ship for Lunch served while cruising to Esna. Cross the river locks and continue to Edfu. Overnight Cruise / Edfu

Day 05: (Wednesday) TEMPLE OF HORUS, TEMPLE OF TWO GODS, CRUISE TO ASWAN
Start the morning with a tour of the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the best preserved of all the Nile temples. Cruise to Kom Ombo and tour the Temple of Two Gods. Then continue upriver to Aswan. Overnight Cruise / Aswan

Day 06: (Thursday) TEMPLE OF PHILAE, UNFINISHED OBELISK, NUBIAN MUSEUM
Tour the Temple of Philae and the Pharaohs granite quarries with the unfinished obelisk. Return to the ship for lunch then tour the Nubian Museum, a world class presentation of Nubia's culture and history. Day 07: (Friday) FLY TO CAIRO, GRAND EGYPTIAN MUSEUM, FLY TO NAIROBI
Staff transfers you to the Aswan airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Cairo. Arriving tour the 5.2-million-square-foot Grand Egyptian Museum. It is the world's largest museum devoted to a single civilization. (As a reference the Smithsonian in Washington is 1.5 million square feet).
Costing more than $1 billion, the museum is home to some of the country's most precious relics including an exhibit of all of the treasures found in King Tut's tomb. Its expansive, glass-fronted building offers sweeping panoramas of the Giza plateau and Great Pyramids, which stand just a mile away. After the tour staff transfers you to theairport, assists with exit formalities and checking in for your flight to Nairobi.

KENYA
Day 08: (Saturday) ARRIVE NAIROBI, ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK
Arrival in Nairobi and Drive to Aberdares National Park. "Majestic Peaks, Moorlands and Intriguing Falls"
Picturesque, steep forested ravines and open moorland characterize the Aberdare National Park. The park provides a habitat for elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs and bushbucks among others. Rare sightings include those of the Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat and the blue duiker. Bird viewing is rewarding, with over 250 species of birds in the park, including the Jackson's Francolin, Sparrow hawks, goshawks, eagles, sunbirds and plovers.

Day 09: (Sunday) ABERDARE TO LAKE NAKURA
After breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru heading straight for a game drive in the National Park.
Lake Nakuru national Park: Established in 1961 and gazette in 1968 as a National Park, the park has Kenya’s largest population of rhinos. The park is home to Lion Hills, Makalia waterfalls, unique vegetation, Picturesque landscape, yellow acacia woodlands and a wide range of birds most famous being Flamingoes and Pelicans. Located in the Great Rift Valley Lake System, the park is also as an ecologically significant region having been named a RAMSAR Site and Important Bird Area. Covering 73 square miles (188 square kilometers), Lake Nakuru is world famous for flamingos, and was created a National Park to protect, its stunning flocks of lesser flamingo which literally turn its shores pink. These are the millions of flamingoes seeking their food in the salty deep-green waters of Lake Nakuru. The park is indeed a birds’ paradise hosting over 500 species.
Animals include: Thomson gazelles, Grants gazelles, impalas, waterbucks, giraffes, buffaloes or even black rhino, leopards and about 450 birds species in total. Buffalo, leopard, lion, Rothschild Giraffe, White and Black Colobus monkey are plentiful in the forest. The bush lands offer eland, Steinbok, impala, Chandler’s Reedbuck and dik dik, whilst rock hyrax and klipspringer occupy the cliffs and escarpment.

Day 10: (Monday) NAKURU TO MASAI MARA
After breakfast drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve, Lunch at your lodge and enjoy afternoon game drive in the Game Reserve. Optional Afternoon Visit to a Masai Cultural Village: This afternoon, join the Masai dancers donning their African regalia and the jingling on their feet, flow by the rhythm of African beats and dance to their tunes that will leave you refreshed. Masai Mara Game Reserve: The Reserve, the Land of Big Cat Diary and Disney’s African Cats, is considered a "must see" for any new and repeat visitor traveling on a safari to Kenya. It is on the "to do" list for many Kenyans and visitors alike because the park is graced by a wide variety of unique and exquisite wildlife and birds. Masai Mara is the best place to see the "Big Five" animals (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos and buffalo).
Home of the Great Wildebeest Migration: The location of the ’Annual Great Wildebeest Migration’ – one of the natural wonders of the world – is a gloriously beautiful, wildlife-rich savannah landscape. The annual wildebeest migration from June to October consists of over 1.5 million wildebeests, gazelles gnus and Zebras roar converge at the border of Tanzania’s Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara making a spectacular entrance in a surging column of life that stretches from horizon to horizon, before finally plunging wildly into the raging waters of the Mara River, creating a frenzy as the fight against swift currents and waiting hungry crocodiles takes priority. Those that survive crocodiles and raging waters cross over to the patiently waiting predators such as hyenas, jackals, leopards and lions for another survival battle.

Day 11: (Tuesday) MASAI MARA
Breakfast in the lodge and depart for a full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes or enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Masai Mara Game Reserve with lunch break in between the game drives. Optional Masai Mara Balloon Ride: for those going for the balloon safari, you will be going for the early morning balloon, you will be picked at the hotel by the Balloon Company at 5.30am and drive to the balloon launch site where you will gather for takeoff. Enjoy early morning ballooning over the plains, getting a bird’s eye view of the game below as the sun creeps slowly over the horizon. After approximately one hour aloft, the balloon lands while a breakfast is being prepared for us nearby. The smell of bacon, sausages and eggs drift on the breeze as we sample exotic Kenyan fruits and homemade pastries and, if you wish, glasses of bubbly to toast our flight, a tradition initiated by the Montgolfier brothers. TANZANIA
Day 12: (Wednesday) MASAI MARA, SERENGETI
Breakfast at the lodge and depart for Serengeti National Park with Picnic Lunch from Kenya side. Pick up at Isebania border and you will be transferred to Serengeti National park. Lunch at a picnic site on the way.
Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle join the wildebeest's trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant's gazelle.

Day 13: (Thursday) SERENGETI
Full day is spent in this spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania's greatest park. Golden-manned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowls the southeastern plains. Almost uniquely, all three African jackal species occur here, alongside the spotted hyena and a host of more elusive small predators, ranging from the insectivorous aardwolf to the beautiful serval cat.

Day 14: (Friday) SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO
Enjoy a morning game drive in central and southern Serengeti then drive toward Ngorongoro Crater rim via the Olduvai area. You can visit a Maasai Village in the Olduvai area (optional activity: fees extra.) The Maasai people who inhabit Kenya and northern Tanzania are semi-nomadic. Traditionally, they were pastoralists famous for their fearsome reputations as warriors and cattle-rustlers. In late afternoon, proceed to your camp located on the crater rim for relaxation and overnight stay. The world-famous Ngorongoro Crater is at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. Nearly three million years old, the ancient caldera of the once-volcanic Ngorongoro, shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth, ringed with towering walls and sheltering forests, grasslands, fresh springs, and a large soda lake.

Day 15: (Saturday) NGORONGORO
Descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 metres) to the floor of the crater for a day crater tour with picnic lunches. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food.

Day 16: (Sunday) LAKE MANYARA
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National park and enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive. The park is well known for its tree-climbing lions, elephants and large troops of baboons. The park is also home to an amazing variety of birds and animals considering its small size. Lake Manyara, the shallow alkaline water mass named after the park, covers two thirds of the park’s total area of 330 Kilometers square.

Day 17: (Monday) LAKE MANYARA TO TARANGIRE
Breakfast then depart to Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its tree-climbing lions and for its very big herds of buffalo. This is one of Africa's little-known gems and should be on the itinerary of all lovers of wilderness and solitude. Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk can be found in this beautiful park, noted for its multitude of baobab trees and its tree- climbing lions. he game numbers are staggering: 30,000 zebra, 25,000 wildebeest, 5,000 buffalo, 3,000 elephant, 2,500 Maasai giraffe and over 1,000 fringe-eared oryx (gemsbok). Predators include lion, cheetah and leopard and birders will want to look out for the endemic ashy starling, rufous-tailed weaver and black-collared lovebird.
